I just got two new batteries for my demo, and one fully charged and one didn't. I ran them the next day, and they both went to full charge after re charging. Your new batteries just needed to be cycled like I said before. New batteries often do that from setting on the shelf for a long period of time, or from never being fully charged in the first place.

It seems to me that overall I get longer battery life charging with a 5 amp per bank rather than a 10. Both work well. The key is to re charge them ASAP after use, and keep them charged either by trickle charger or checking on them.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.

OR. Does your charger have a manual and automatic mode? If I use my charger in the manual mode it won't bring it to full charge. Goes down to about 4 amps and stays there. Change it to automatic without turning it off or disconnecting the leads and bingo. Shows full charge. What BRM said is valid, also. Barnacle Bill has a sticky at the head of the Main forum all about batteries. Good reading.

I was told years ago to leave batteries on a 2 amp. charge all night. I just got new batteries in my 5ht. wheel & boat, the old ones were over 7 years old and were just starting to go bad. Keep them clean, full, and charged, and spray a little of that battery post stuff on there once in a while to keep acid off and they should last for years...
