    Default Allatoona Report

My wife and I got out Saturday and brought 11 fish home. Water temp ran from 45 in the morning to 50 at noon. Only one real good fish and the others just good eaters between 9 and 10 inch. Jig colors varied as the clouds came and went. We did catch 8 of the smallest throw backs I've seen in a long time. We fished the sweet water creek mouth and flat out from their. Also tried the mouth of cushing but no takers.

The day was both good and bad as one year ago same day I had sat by my fathers bed as he took his last breath. Sure wished I could have called him up and talked about fishing after cleaning the fish.

    Good luck.

Did you launch out of Cherokee Mills boat ramp? I was wondering if it's open.

Yes - Cherokee Mills is open and I guess its free to launch there now. At least it was last weekend. The pay box didn't have any of the envelopes to put your money in so no one did. I was hoping to catch someone in the front pay booth and get another annual pass. Good luck.

gajud - Yep year before last I got my pass from the office but last year the man at the entry shack had them. It's tuff for me to get to the woodstock office during their open hours. My wifes is back to working nights so I might can get to stop by on her way home one morning. Hope your feeling better. I'll be watching for you on the lake.
