Hey procrappie, I would fish either yellow jacket creek or the mouth of turkey and white water creeks. Good luck and enjoy, let us know how you do. Jeff
Anyone offer any good spots to try out on West Point? I am taking my dad this weekend and any help would be appreciated. My plans for Logan Martin got changed and now we are going to West Point. Thanks for the help.

Procrappie,I have had good luck in Wehadkee Creek this time of year.We have caught crappie in the areas of the creek where you can launch the boat at Wehadkee access and Dewberry access. We have also had good luck in first big cove on left after you go under the bridge and the big cove on right as you continue on up into the creek. These sections have good variety of depths with good trash. Our best luck has come in the 20ft. range, trolling jigs. Our best colors have been black, blue, chartruese and acid rain, depending on water clarity.Hope this helps and save some for me.Thanks and good luck.
Wehadkee is good this time of year through late February. Sometimes when we put in at Dewberry Access, I never start the big motor. Just troll around in front of the ramp all the way to the point directly in front of the ramp and back again.
Next choice would be yellow jacket creek right out in the middle between the bouys on the east side of the bridge at Sunny point access. There, and the mouth of Beach Creek, which would be off to the right after you come under the bridge.
Good Luck, I'm gonna try Sinclair on Friday.:D

Excellent. Thanks for all the suggestions. My father and I typically run Oconee so we thought we'd try something different. We'll give all these areas a try.
That is what makes this site so great! Someone ask for info. and you guys give him just what he asked for. You are the best! Jimmy S.
If you take the yellowjacket route I'd try the mouth of Dixie Creek also...it's just down the creek from sunny point on the left hand side of the lake....yellowjacket's channel runs from sunny point at an angle across the lake and then up beside the bank above Dixie.....if the water is down be sure to go to the left hand side if you go down creek from sunny point since there is an old roadbed that runs across most of the creek that is not very deep at winter pool levels....Good Luck!!
How were things at West Point??? Haven't heard much from that lake this year.
Dad and I decided to postpone our trip. The wind was a bit stiff on Saturday and he was going home on Sunday. I appreciate all the suggestions. This site is great with everyone who is willing to help. Sorry to let everyone down about having anything to report. Maybe next time the wind will lay so we can control the boat.
