Arrow Blackshear> countdown.. What are you bringing? When will you arrive? NightStalking!

I'll bring the taters and onions and some fire wood. I will also catch some crappie for the fry. I will arrive thursday and leave saturday night or Sunday morning.
I hope some of you locals will take us on a night run. Anywhere that a group of boats can fish together. We did it at harding with 4 boats and it was better than the tourney.
Let's get this thing kicked off this year. We should have good turnout since some of you live near and fish there. Even if you can't camp, please come fish the tourney and fish fry with us. Looking forward to a great time on the water.

    Smitty------ potatoes,
    onions, firewood

    Reelcrappie--Zatarain fish fry,
    peanut oil,
    paper towels,
    paper plates,
    plastic spoons etc.,
    salt and pepper

Speckchaser-5 lb bag of Hoover's Hush Puppy mix,
    5 gals of frying oil,
1 jar of Zatarain's fish fry mix.

    Papasage----COOKER oil
    firewood

    Mud Turtle &
    Brown mule-meal,
    a cooker and oil,
    cooking utinsils,
    salt, milk, FF, eggs
what ever else we can think of.

I'm going to be there for Friday and Saturday. Probably head home after the fish fry Sat nite. I won't be camping, I'll stay in a motel this time. I'll bring some Zatarain fish fry, peanut oil, paper towels, paper plates, plastic spoons etc., salt and pepper. Oh yeah and a big appetite so everybody better catch some fish so I won't go hungry. I've got a lot to do between now and the tourney, wheel bearings for boat trailer install new fish finder etc. I'm excited. Are we there yet?

    Default Will be there..

My partner and I will be there. Don't plan to camp this time but will arrive on Thursday and stay through Saturday. Plan to bring a 5 lb bag of Hoover's Hush Puppy mix, 5 gals of frying oil, and large jar of Zatarain's fish fry mix.
Looking forward to seeing some of the folks we met at Oconee and meeting some new people who share our enthusiasm for Crappie fishing.

Went by myself to the Apalachicola River at Wewahitchka, FL yesterday and fished for 3 hours until the wind came up about 1 pm. Only caught 9 but all were well over a pound and 1 was over 2 pounds. All caught on minnows under a float 1-2 feet off bottom in 10 to 20 feet of water over wood structure. Two fellows from Dothan, AL got there early and had limits by 10 a.m. fishing the same way. Water temp was 53 to 55 degrees. All were females full of roe. Guess this unseasonably warm weather may be triggering an early spawn; most of them were caught within 30 ft of the bank.

papa if you can locate us a deal I will chip in with ya ..Plus go with you to pick it up thursday. see if you can get seasoned. Let me know the price this weekend so I can budget it. I'm headed to Eufaula Weds morning to Humminbird. I have a unit they discontinued. It works crappy. Trade mine in and it is about 50-125.00 cheaper. I'm not sure if my hook ups or where I mounted it is causing my problem so I'm just going to pull my crate to the factory. They said they would check it out for me.. What you bet I need trade.. I will get the Matrix 37 for 189.00-220.00 according to my options. I want a smartcast for sure. I'll get the WAAS - GPS hook up later

I am gonna try my best to at least be there to socialize.

I may not be able to get my act together in time to actually fish, but I will at least try to be there to see everyone.

I have been completely overwhelmed with my new job.

I don't even think I remember how to catch a fish.

How many people are coming and who are the teams so far?

I have moved to Jackson, GA now....just what I needed another move, but I think I will be staying there for a while now. There is a good chance that I am going to need quick access to an airport, so Jackson is only about 35 - 40 minutes from the airport and about 10 minutes from a lake.
I won't be at work........I'm feelin' crappie today!
