    Default Blackshear Slabfest March 20th

I removed that other thread on the subject as I did not find it informative, and it did not reflect the spirit of the site. Slabfests should be fun, lets try to keep it that way. Let bygones be bygones. Teach a friend to fish. This should not be competitive, we are not bass fishermen. Lets put the original intent of these events back in to focus.

I want to hear good stories, and get good pics, for articles on the home page, OK. Friendship foremost.

(Ed steps off soapbox), thanks all, thanks for listening.

    Thanks Ed
Now folks there is no money envolved in this years event and we have found out that Radz Bait and Tackle will host this event. Randy and Fredrica want to help us with the weigh-in, the shelter with tables. a huge dock to park the boats at, a fish cleaning area and even the cooking. Randy also said that we can launch from his landing and park for free.

Talk about stepping up to the plate

thanks Ed. It is terrible the way some have acted or feel about things. Slabfest will forever live on. People may come and go but someone will keep the torch lit. I am grateful to you for your support from the very first event and promise to keep the problems to a minimum like always. Right is right, and wrong is wrong whomever they may be.
It is great that we can do the saturday event across the lake because we don't need any problem wth the state Park. I pray that most of you will come join the fun. Even those that seem to be against Slabfest now. Let the past and your feelings go.

See you all next thursday. I'll bring taters and onions for the fishfry but I must leave friday afternoon to get back to work.
Look for changes in the schedule for future Slabfest. I'll get it revised next week. we are dropping Lanier for sure and moving Harding to the middle of May.
