I just break off retie This way you want stop traffic and cause ugly words
When ya'll get hung up do you a) break it off, not slowing down b) reel in all lines and go back to save jig? I've been doing b but don't think I should in a crowd of boats.

i use light wire jigs and 6 pound test line some times they will straighten out sometimes line breaks ,to many lines in the water to slow down ,it would cause a mess to try to turn around and go back . pm luremaker358 he makes lightwire jigs i dont use anything else they are super good jigs great quality.
I have the lightwire jigs from LTL, but haven't pulled on them yet. I will try to get my jigs deeper and don't want to stop traffic. Thanks
PM lightwirehooker. He is the master. The lightwire hooks make a big difference. Just pull them up and keep going. Also I like them with the triangle head. They go a little deeper.
Life is hard:it's harder if your stupid.
i tie lite wire hooks, but their the regular style hooks. their a size 6
for what it's worth...a trick I've used is to bend your hook(like your straightening it) then bend it back into shape..it'll hold a fish, but straightens out easier...saves a bit of tying....
If ya got the time, get yer torch n' stress that metal some and use 6lb. test xl.It din't take long to figue how long to heat em' . bout 5 seconds on the middle of the bend at the end of the shank.
With the lightwirehooks, most of the time you can just pull the line tight and the hook will bend enough to come out of the stump. Then all you have to do is bend it back into place and keep on fishing. I never go back for a jig, too much trouble to reel in 11 other rods and stop fishing for just 1 jig. Just pull it loose or break the line. The other trollers around you will appreciate it also. These are the only hooks I use at any lake.
just break it off and keep going, as others have said. stop or slowdown and you will have more than 1 jig hung up to replace. its just the cost of catching
