Well, thank you all for the warm welcomes!
I've been fishing off and on for close to 50 years, and have enjoyed the peace that comes with it. I was taught as a younster by a friend of my mom's, and he basically showed me the basics after giving me my first rod and reel, a Zebco 202 combo.
Never really cared whether or not i caught anything, which was good, because i seldom did. But very recently, my wife and i were out fishing, and we decided we wanted to do something different. We wanted to actually catch fish intentionally! What a concept!
So we're embarking on learning more about the art of fishing. And i figured, since one could argue i was already a crappy fisherman, i would strive to become a crappie fisherman! So, wish me luck, and any advice is welcome!
