    Default I Can Do This

This retirement thing. If it’s like me on vacation, I can do this. Had to sneak back out today, and I had to make a stop at the boat mechanic. Didn’t put in til it was after 8 and the bite was slow. I got about and hour of good activity before it got slow and I felt like movin on. The fish in the pic were about a third of today’s catch. The Warmouth was chunky and I wanted to do a side by side comparison to a bluegill, which I already had on ice. Cutest little fillet ever, and it didn’t disappoint. Definitely different, but put em side by side and I couldn’t tell the gill from it. All good from water to ice to knife to fryer. Doesn’t get any better. The hush puppies and gill were on the one plate while I was cooking, hard to leave em alone. Hope y’all had a good day, mine wasn’t bad. Also look forward to seeing you soon on the water, til then... That looks awesome skeet. I always have the same problem with sampling the fillets and hush puppies as fast as I put them on the serving plate.
Heck, I don't think I have the self-discipline to just let 'em sit there like that.
I don't know for sure... but somehow it just seems like the thing to do.

K, I’m kinda weak on that myself. Too many distractions and I fall apart, then they’re gone.

Junky, I use Louisiana crispy seasoned in the blue bag. Just enough heat to make it interesting and not four alarm fire hot.

Thanks Doug, all on the skinny. Nothing of size wanted a 2” bait today. But they were done, they were done. Like a switch was thrown.

Pretty fish for sure, but I do like to see them battered up and lightly browned.

What a great way to end the day. I will now have to go get some paper towel to wipe up the drool on my keypad!

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
