Hey Guys....Sorry for the AWOL lately, just been a tough year so far. The tournament schedule has kept me busy, but LIFE in general has thrown a few curves this year!! The tornados we had in January left us with having to remove several trees and put on a new roof, been working midnight shift 12 hours a day for the past 9 months, my laptop crapped out on me (and my phone is just too dang small to do very much on), blew up the motor on my boat and just got a new one put on last weekend, grandson was born in Feb and they are living with us for the time being, running up and down the highway checking on my Dad....Blah...Blah...Blah....Can't wait for things to get back to normal (Whatever "Normal" is)!!!!
Russ and I have had a fairly decent showing with Crappie Masters this year but we aint hit the Big Time by no means. We have had a lot of fun fishing different lakes and making new friends. I have learned a few things and hope it makes me a better fisherman. Seems like every tournament so far this year has been accompanied by bad weather. The pre fishing will be great and then a cold front with winds blow in on Thursday night or Friday. The Friday we fished in Alabama, the first weekend in May, we like to have froze to death....Crazy year for weather!!
We are fortunate to be sitting where we are at for the time being, but there are still 2 tournaments left, both in Missouri, and I don't expect us to stay in the lead much longer. (Missouri is just way too far to drive for a tournament!!!) But we'll just keep our fingers crossed and see what happens.
Russ did catch a 3lb 3 oz crappie out at Grenada in Mississippi so he got to check off one of the things on his Bucket List. I'm still looking for ways to pay for my new motor
Haven't done very much "Recreational" fishing this year, but that will change starting in the Fall. Now that the grandson is here, Talquin Maggie and I will get back into fishing like we used to. We both miss doing that.
Here are a couple of Pigs we caught at Grenada:

Good to hear from you, been wondering like everyone else. Good job so far, and I also know about life getting busy. Got a few extra irons in the fire myself. Good luck with it all....

What happened to the big crappie.com decal on the side. I thought I seen it on both sides of the boat last time I seen the boat. If you need another one just let me know. Thanks for representing, and great job this year especially with everything else going on in your life.

And wow, super fish Russ, congratulations.
