I'm not any help, but I can wish you good luck. As a general comment, I fish Lake Griffin (central Florida, about an hour north of Orlando), and it's been better than it has been in the last couple years. Not on fire, just better. Just wanted to share that observation. Hope Okeechobee is good for you too.

    Yea
Harney pond , Tin house cove, steady bite. Early morning at day break. They have also been getting limits at night out at Bird Island and mouth of the River. The New Moon will be really good the end of this month . Last time I spoke to Sliknquick he was going over , have not heard anything back from him. I am going over next weekend . So if we get back on them I will send you a message and some pics. Their are some big fish this year . Tipping minnows on jigs.

They have been biting good all around the lake however the fish haven't really moved into the bushes yet. Id say your best bet is to fish deeper water with minnows. The fish I've cleaned have had hardly any roe and it seems they are just starting to move into the bushes. You should be able to get plenty drifting minnows in the open water from Taylor Creek to Grassy Island. We've been getting some jigging but not as many and not as big as the minnow fishing. Also night fishing at Harney pond and Indian Prarie has been good.

Thanks everyone! I'll also update once I hit the water after Christmas. I generally fish out of the river either eagle bay or kings bar areas. Will also night fish the mouth of the river.

Been told they did a lot of spraying this year and tin house cove and couple other familiar places have been badly
    hurt by spraying.
I haven't been down to confirm but !

River might be best bet......clear up to the locks and around the Weirs

Spoke to a Local Guide and they have been spraying . So just have to wait and see when we go how it is.

I have an uncle down there now & I'll be down end of February. I spoke with him on Christmas Eve & he said they have been doing pretty good most nights fishing the areas you mentioned. Mouth of the river, Eagle bay & Kings bar.

Went back over today and did really good. The bite was steady all morning. Same areas as I mentioned on my last post. We really did not see much from the spraying that was done. We caught ove 70 fish . I will post pics tomorrow if I can figure out how to do it. Might have been the cold front that went thru. I know it was a cold ride this morning though. Just a Great Lake to fish .
