Thread: Talquin Slabfest is set for 8 Nov 2014

Our annual Slabfest at Talquin is set for Nov 8, 2014 and will be hosted at Lake Talquin Lodge as it has for the past 6 years. Nothing is set in stone, but we are planning a Fruit Jar tournament on Friday, Nov 7 and a Fish Fry on Friday evening. On Saturday, we will fish until lunch time and come in to see who will have the top 3 catches of the morning weighing in our heaviest 5 and who will find the Big Fish, followed by a Hot Dog lunch. We will be accepting donations for door prizes over the next 3-4 months and tickets will be sold the week of Slabfest for chances to win door prizes. All proceeds will go towards the expenses for the meals and left over money will go toward buying Gift Certificates from Lake Talquin Lodge to be given away. Note: Lake Talquin Lodge books up fast in November so I suggest reservations should be made early....Looking forward to another great event!!!!!

I talked with Pat at Lake Talquin Lodge and the week of Slabfest is starting to fill up...Not many cabins/motel rooms left.
