That water is a bit clearer than some of the other Clermont Chain lakes. I think minnows work well in Mineola, but I've only fished it a couple of times. Maybe someone else had more insight.
Hi guys, I am new to crappie fishing. Does anyone know what color jigs work the best in lake minneola?

I have family that lives on that lake and I've been a couple times for catfish and recreation, but never tried looking for the speck. Lots of boat traffic over the summer season, but I'll eventually try to find some good spots to longline up there. This spot peaked my interest last time I was there... most dropoffs and structures I've seen in lakes that I've been to down here.
As for color, some similar lakes in the area I've done well with black/blue with chart tail, john deere, acid rain, and black/red neon chart tail.
A man remembered never dies.
You are on the right color chart to start with..........expand from there....
especially in most Florida lakes due to staining.
welcome from area clermont/minneola person if though I live 5 minutes from the ramp I have only fished it once I am still limited on how I can fish ( momentary switch trolling motor and no electronics ). I need to get out there and find some.
