I have a 17ft xpress with a 90 hp on it want to find a lake close by to fish in the afternoons after work and maybe on the weekends anybody point me in the right direction. I grew up on salt water fishing (deep sea fishing) just got introduce to crappie fishing and love it.

I did alot of fishing at Lake Pasadena back in the early 90's when I lived in Dade City...Mostly for bass, but done decent the few times I fished for crappie. Also Lake Harris isn't that far away for an all day fishing trip...Good Luck!!

You might want to look around the Clermont area.

Lake Panasofskee isn't to far. Also the lakes on the backside of Ocala national forest.

If you are going to come down to Lakeland, you might want to check the lakeland ledger (newspaper) for their fishing reports.
