I know where it is...but me and the OCK (original crappie killer) are gonna catch a couple of 2 lb fish in Monroe on Saturday. It sounds kind of fun.

If you are already at Talquin and want to fish with a winning team, then get on I10 east to I75 south to I4 east. When you get to Sanford you will be at LAKE MONROE. Known for the largest fish and best fishermen in Florida. So don't listen to those boys at Talquinpowder Lake. They will fill you with a bunch of small crappie. Rofl

Find the georgia crew at Talquin Lodge. They have camps there and that's where they'll be fishing out of.

    Default Windy now!!!!!

The wind forecast changed DRASTICALLY since last night... sooooooo..... here's what we're up against. Wind at 16mph at 6AM out of the N...then by 11AM 18mph out of the E. Some sources say as high as 20+. Also, the forecast is changing every hour or so for the worse. That's the good news, the bad news is Russ and I caught some BIG fish this morning in the Lake, but we don't stand a chance of fishing the lake so don't even think about it! It will be whitecapping with 2 to 3' waves with the wind coming out of the NE and then the E. Not to worry though......My suggestion is to start fishing in the marina, go east in the channel toward the lake as far as you can then troll back west. This whole area will be out of the wind most of the morning. Another suggestion is to turn right out of the marina into the river an you'll find several places out of the wind or least minimal wind. Get with me, hs, chunky,Russ, andy, blsd, crappielover and they'll tell you about the river areas to fish. I'm sure there are others that will know also. By the way looks like Taquin will have 10 to12 mph winds. See everybody there!!

    Mike
