Garyv and minnowdrownder should be along shortly. I know gary had been fishing it, not sure what he was doing though.
just wondered if specks on the lake were biting better on jigs or minnows i know the hand tyed local jigs slay em but i like drifting minnows in stronger winds just wondered what every one thinks

you guys in florida have so many great speck lakes how do you ever decide where to go we can catch walleye most any where we catch crappie on the same lures but never as big as what you get
Wish I could give better news, but all I can say is ....its been slow at blue cypress........I havnt been, but Garys post's have painted a dull picture.....I'm sure the action will heat up, the question is when.....I'll pass along any news that comes my way......
Best of luck Roy
Rinse out the dang minner bucket:D
Yep has been slow there the last few weeks, My brother and I went last week and didnt even get a small one .
We are still trying there because when they start we hope to get some nice ones there. Its a great lake and we have been getting some but has been going down the last few trips , We just cant figure out the patern they are in now.
But keep going waiting for them t start , I think this weird weather pattern has them and us confused now..
It would be great to have a slabfest there but very limited space and no pavillions just a few cabins or trailers and camp sites with no electric.
Gary
well we are going tommorrow again so hope to have a better report this trip..
Gary
Well we got 5 keepers yesterday , also met one of the forum members there , Sorry I dont remember the forum name but do remember his real name , I wont say just in case he does not want it out there , but he and his wife got 7 I believe ,
It was a beutiful day on the lake then when we got in they say the fish have been hitting after 4 PM now.. But I have found they always hit either after we leave or the day before or the next day but hopefully one day they will start up there at Blue Cypress..
Here is a picture of the biggest one that my brother caught, seemed to be close to 2 lbs but was 1.8 lbs by scale..
Gary
