    Default January Slabfest

It is all confirmed so here ya go. It will be January 7th at Lake Monroe Park. Lake Monroe Park Pavillion #2
I have reserved the Pavillion from noon till close. We will fish from and including the Econ River north to and including Lake Beresford and all bodies of water between that are connected to the St. Johns river. We will weigh fish at 2:00P.M. to give everyone ample time to fish and hopefully have a great day on the water. It is not mandatory that you launch from the park, however I will STRESS that if the fishing is hot and a nice day the park will fill fast and close the gates not allowing anyone with a trailer in.They will accomadate us by opening the gates at 6:00A.M. We will have awards again for heaviest 5 fish catch overall, big fish overall as well as a womans award in each. If enough interest is generated in youth awards for anglers under 13 we can accomadate that as well, so please speak up if you will have a youngun in tow. If anyone wants to get side pots going fell free to do that as well. I believe we realized at the last event we needed more cookers and we are again in need of oil, and feel free to bring side dishes. There is no electricity available at the pavillions so no crock pots or hotplates please. With the Crappiemasters right behind this we might get some interest from other states and yes all CDC Members are welcome and we look forward to meeting you. So lets go everybody post up!!

A separate post will appear as those sign up with a commitment to donate items for fish fry. (flycaster)

Ya know, I ain't never fished north of I-4 and onwards up that way.
Seems like last year some guys did well up that way.
I'm wondering if I can tear myself away from my usual holes and do some exploring ......
Have to think about that .............

It's hard for me to pass on a trip to the St. John's....so I believe I'll be back again for my second slab festival. Sounds like you did good Huntinslabs. Thx.
