    Default Python

MY buddy was quail hunting this morning at CECIL WEB and saw a 10 ft. python trying to swallow a small doe. He said he was so scared he just ran. It takes a lot for him to run, Especially since he had a 20 ga. with him.

I doubt it there was one a few years back in the everglades tried swallowing a gator. It killed the snake and the gator. I think the gator was about 6 ft. or so

yeah seems like your buddys messin with ya. I have seen those pics on TV of big pythons trying to swallow huge prey but they were alot bigger than 10ft. That must be one stupid python if its true. Why would he run though? I woulda went back, got a camera and been on the 10 oclock news!

Hunting = has gun in hand

Python = Invasive species, detrimental to the stability of Floridas natural environment if continued to go unchecked.

Maybe your buddie would have done us all a favor, if he just put a bullet / shell in its head. Running away may be instinct, but surely not helpful to the state in regards to protecting Floridas natural habitat.

Darn shame there isnt one less python to worry about

Over on the Florida sportsmen forum in the hunting threads, one was caught in Appalachacola National Forest this weekend. If so they are way more spread than the state had hoped.

Well, I sure didn't believe it, based on being so far north (Cecil Webb).
    But, I stand corrected ! !
    Sure could be true ! ! !
