Default Well, lets talk about it.

The time has come to decide if we are fishing tomorrow. Rather discuss it now than in the morning, cuz there are people who have to round stuff up to bring.
Guess the bottom line is, What temp is the cutoff temp for getting together?
Personally, 45 is really pushing it. Would rather have at least 50. Chuck, Kevin and I fished the december one, and it was in the low 50's then. Also, there was only another boat or two that was out. Not that it felt cold while fishing, it is the running around on the lake from place to place that chilled to the bone. Guess I am getting old and the blood is thinning out (but even little Kevin was wrapped up like a eskimo).
Anyway, we three was out and caught 2 fish. No one else got anything. Did not even have enough participation to have a cook out......cuz it was cool and the wind was blowing pretty good.
Tomorrow morning, it is suspossed to be in the upper 30's with 5-10 north winds and 60% shot of rain, and, it is only going to mid to upper 50's.
Let's hear from all yall who planned on attending. Are you going to be there...and fish? Let's be honest with each other and bring out the true feelings/opinions.
I am not trying to stir up any hard feelings, just trying to get everyone to say what they feel. Guess that is the Phantom coming out of me.

    Default Latr in the morning

Why do you feel the need to go out so early? Wait till later in the morning and when it warms up to go out. You will be a lot happier and the event will be better.

Just a little something that I do all the time.

Being honest i don't think the catching will be that good with the temp drop, weather won't be great and we NEED to have a good day of fishing and fish fry. Put my frowny face up there.--shu

Hey everyone, My take on fishing tomorrow is...it is not too cold for me, but it will be for my fishing partner, my wife. Tracy has already expressed displeasure with going out on the lake with temperatures being anything less than 65+ degrees.

www.intellelicast.com predicts a high of 53 F with showers at times. There is no way I am going to be able to talk my wife into going out on the boat in those conditions.

I know this event has already been rescheduled once....but I would suggest looking at next weekend. On the intellelicast.com, the 10 day forcast shows the following Saturday, March 6th as being partly cloudy with a low of 50 and high of 72. That's sounds like great comfortable fishing weather to me!

    Whatchall think?

Well, We were going to fish the chain today with Centerdriver, but it was bad cold.:o
I called a friend (Kenny) and we went out to Lake Howell about 10:30 am.
We fished until 2:30 pm (4 hrs) and caught 70. We kept 50 nice fish.:D:D
I just got thru cleaning them (6:00 pm).
I think maybe the thing to do is to start a little later (10:00 am) (It's warmer) and have the weigh in a little later (2:00 pm). Fish fry @ 3:00.
I think the fish are bedded up.

    Here's what a limit looks like!!!!!:D

Got up this morning at 7 to the sound of rain on the roof and 44 degrees. Not a good day to go out. Just wanted to say thanks for your inputs. Have paid big money to fish bass tourny's in my younger days that would MAKE me get out in weather like this, but this is suspossed to be fun. Today would not be fun. Seems like this has been a strange year for down here and if it were warmer, we could prolly get some newbies involved if it were as well.
Nice string there Chuck. I have heard of more limits being caught this year too, but I think it is because the lake levels are like they were 5 years ago.
