Cool story, thanks for posting!
Ok, like the rest of us I have truthfully been fortunate enough to spend thousands of days in the outdoors hunting and fishing. One of the craziest things I have ever seen was one day while flipping tubes on the white river in Arkansas for Kentucky bass, my buddy sets the hook and brings up a medium sized "gaspergoo" (drum) but it appears to be wound up in something cause he cant get it from the surface to the boat. He uses the trolling motor to get the boat to it and the water is very murky, we cant see what the deal is. I grap the net and net it and begin to pull it out of the water and it gets pulled back into the water. He gets the boat directly over it and I reach down and grab it behind the gill and lift it up. This drum has a trot line hook in its lower jaw and is still attached to the trot line and my buddy's tube hook in its upper lip. We figured "its his lucky day" and we unhooked him from the trot line and released him. Like I said "if I wasnt there, I wouldnt believe it!!!

Sounds like a freak accident , could have snagged in the mouth as line drug on trotline ? Not saying he could not have bit it .
I saw couple guys on Nimrod throwing spinnerbaits once that got real excited . One tossed a spinner over a trotline with a huge Buffalo on it . When it spooked and boiled the water he says ''Did you see that &*^ Bass ?'' I almost fell over laughing cause I had already seen the Buffalo as line was shallow .

Cool Story. One of my favorite fishing trips was in Arkansas. Four good friend on a four day slow float on the Buffalo River fishing for Smallies. Most relaxing vacation I've ever been on. Finished the trip, on the White River, at The White Buffalo Resort. Would love to go again, but that's a long trip from central Kentucky.
