Yep, I can't remember not carrying a knife?? Have my dad's put up & I have one of same (Case) I've had 30+ years. I bagan wearing a "Leatherman" probably 10 years ago. Warning though, I went to Six Flags with Son & grandkids last Dec and was forced to leave it with security before I could enter. Next time I'll leave it in the car. I worried about my "tool" the whole time we were there. Did get it back though.

    Default Got a few...

First knife was given to me for a high school graduation present from my grandma, a Gerber EZ Out with a fine blade. Lost it in one of my moves during college, broke my heart.

My everyday carrier is a Gerber Harsey Air Ranger. It's about 2 oz and stays as sharp as I need it to be.

Got a hunting knife from my father in law a year ago Christmas, a Gerber Profile with a guthook. I've used it on two deer and a hog, and it's worked great for me! Holds a good blade, too.

But this new knife I think is gonna change my life. It's a Piranta made by Havalon. Basically it's a knife handle with a fixture for attaching surgical scalpels. Guy I learned about it from had processed 6 deer with his current blade and still sharp as a laser. Coolest thing about it is it comes with 12 replacement blades, and you can buy more as you need them. Check out the different models here:

My EDC is a Kershaw Speed bump assisted open. Very well balanced and the point is precisely centered so it doesn't deflect when pushing the point into something. The shape of the blade is also great for skinning deer and the point doesn't dig in to the entrails when field dressing

Wouldn't be appropriate to carry on my hip in the workplace so my Leatherman SuperTool 200 rides in my laptop bag. It's too big for the pocket. My old PST II was pocket size, but my wife carries it in her purse now. A multi-tool is just too darn useful to not have around.
Its great when I doing heavy yard work or fishing. I don't have to go looking for a tool, I have the whole tool box on my belt.
I'd love to get a small pocket sized one, but I haven't been able to truly justify it. Even if its not in my pocket, I got one close by. My only real issue is that I wish the ST 200 had scissors like the PST II. I can usually make due with one of the blade or the wire cutters though.

I keep a small Kissing Crane knife with me. I hiked the Appalachian Trail with it last year and just got used to having it with me. My father keeps a really small pair of pliers in his back pocket and seems to use it more than he does his knife. I bought him a leatherman, but he still would rather have his small pliers and knife seperate. Said the leathermans were to bulky/heavy.

Always have my leatherman on my belt, and a clip on in my pocket. The pocket clip knife varies from my kershaw, leatherman, to several more. Can't ever leave the house w/out my leatherman and a knife in m pocket, unless going to church, then it's just hte pocket knife...

I carry a Schrade with me all the time. Nothing too fancy since it might possibly get lost.

I have always carried a pocket knife, either a Gerber, Buck, Kershaw, or a Case. My favorite right now is a small 3 blade Case, I can't remember the Name of this Case, but it will really take and hold an edge.
