No it's not!!!... it's a tool that can be used for a weapon... just like a hammer... or a shovel... or a pick!!!

I toted my Case Sodbuster for years and finally got away from carrying it. The dang knife was wearing out pants pockets plus carbon steel is now something that's very hard to find anymore and I didnt want to loose it. I still pick it up on the weekends and tote it then, just not during the week much anymore. It takes AWHILE getting used to NOT having a knife on you though.

If it was a folding pocket knife they are wrong, do you know if it was a switchblade or fixed blade knife.

It was a folding pocket knife. I talk to her and she does't want to do any thing about it, just wants to drop it.

Give her a Case to carry, I don't believe they sell those at Wally world and every store I've ever bought one at they have to unlock the little display cabinet before you can even look at one.

Case is my favorite although I carry a Beretta serrated blade. I've carried one since my Dad bought me my first Coca Cola brand double blade when I was five. I teach my 8 year old and 15 year old Daughters that a pocket knife is a tool that used wrongly like a drill, saw, rifle etc. can do grave harm. If pocket knives are considered deadly weapons so should the teachers scissors in school. Every youngin should expereince whittling, sling shottin, pellet gunning, fire crackers, fishing, hunting, camping, boating and time in the outdoors. That's my 10 cents worth!

Have been carrying an Old Timer since I was 8 or 9 years old. Have had several through the years and still carry the Old Timer.

I always carry (except for school), a Kershaw assisted opening or a SOG assisted opening. I like them because I can hold something with one hand, and use my knife in the other.

I always carry a knife in my pocket. I have several in my drawer and I am always on the lookout for a new one. A few weeks ago while at work, I was about 20ft in the air and wearing all my cold weather gear and a safety harness. I was have a hard time getting to my pocket so I asked another guy if he had a knife. He handed me a little bity knife with a blade about 1 1/2 inches long. I gave it a funny look but decided to try it anyway. I attempted to cut a nylon strap. I quickly handed the toy back to him and commenced to digging for my knife which easily cut the strap. People that I work with know that if something needs cutting, I have a knife that will cut it.

My most cherished knife is a "Russell Barlow" that my Grandfather left me. I have been carring a inexpensive knife that a friend gave me. It is a "Rough Rider". I sharpens well and holds an edge well.
