Sometimes we don't know how good we have it...
Yesterday was kinda slow around the shop/office and one of my coworkers talked me into leaving early and going fishing. So we peeled off around Noon, I ran home for the boat and gear and we met up at the lake. Not much was happening fishing wise. We hit a few brushpiles in the lake and then ended up spider rigging for about an hour or so. We only caught a gar, a few cats and some dink crappie; a pretty bad day fishing really.
As we loaded the boat back on the trailer and were strapping everything down my coworker said, "I don't know how you aren't out here everyday!" At the time I just chuckled, but thinking about it later I thought man, "What if it had been a good day, he really would have been impressed!" His comment really got me to thinking that the way I grew up, and how I am now, is not something everyone gets to experience; and that maybe I should reflect on my good fortune more often and not take these things for granted.
If you have arrived here by accident, I suggest panic!
