    Default new update for 1197

since installing the latest update to my 1197 it doesn't save the your tracks when you turn it off and then back on also updated my 787 no problems with it
has any one else noticed theirs doing this.Talked to Joby this morning and he said he would check into it Monday.Just curious if it is an update issue or something wrong with my unit

Installing a new update has always in the past restored all setting to factory defaults, meaning it may have shut the tracks off, go check your settings. I heard, don't know for sure that lastest update on 997 did not change all setting to default, don't know as I have not done mine yet, kinda lazy this past week.

I'm in. I assume we would do a 2 person per boat deal. I have never fished a tourney but I think this would be more like a get together than a tourney. :D Your seat is still open the the "Crappie Cruiser" C.P. :O)

Seems I saw on another thread about the up-dates that Joby@Hummingbird said to return to default settings before you run the up-dates. don't know if it helps or not just passing this along.

I would Restore Factory Defaults before and after the software download. If you continue seeing the problem let me know.

I went out yesturday afternoon and did not see this problem on my unit. I turn the unit and also unplugged the power while the unit was still running and everytime the unit saved the tracks.

how do you turn the tracks off ? I spend a lot of time in a small section of lake and my map is turning solid blue.

At this point and time you can not turn the rack off. You will just have to clear your current track.

Your kidding right ? Why did I pay $150 for a hi def map of
my lake if the gps is going to color it all in ? Do I have to clear
    the track every trip ?
you can't go back and clear the old tracks ?
