thanks, that's how I just mounted it. I was talking to someone in the fishfinder chat last night and they said they had the 522c mounted up front and a regular fishfinder mounted on the console. I was just wondering why they would mount it that way.

Hey I have the Lowrance 522C on the console and 565 on the front .The lowrance gets me close to the spot then i use the 565 to fish it.I still have to turn around ever now and then just to check but that may be just a habit haven't had the 565 long
