Spider Rigging and Livescope
Which view is the best when spider rigging? Perspective, forward , down or what?
-
You would think Perspective would be, so you can watch all rods at the same time. But, I don't think Tim uses his that way ... and you already know how that works out.

I tried both yesterday. Forward helps see fish come up to your jig ( one rod at a time) and perspective helps you spot schools and avoid hanging on brush. Covering a lot of water, I would use perspective. Stopping over a pile, use forward mode.

Perspective would be best to navigate towards the biggest schools of fish but forward would be better to accurately get the depth right. I run both units at the same time but I understand most guys only have the option to run one or the other. I would, in that case, probably use Perspective and experiment with depths "Old School", until one depth catches the most fish.
I'll let you in a little secret I've learned about Perspective mode........The brighter fish returns are the highest fish in the water column!

I've also used Perspective mode to navigate between under water stumps and trees while trolling avoiding damage to my transducers.
