Is it the GPSMAP?

3 times on the water with this new Livescope LVS34 and 1222 Screen. Does anyone have one of these manual screens that could send me a pm? Seems I have to go through a long process just to change my depth and forward settings. I know I am doing something wrong but cant find much specific directions on how to do these things. I know I have had to adjust depth very frequently and it shouldn't take so many punches on the buttons to do it. Would appreciate your help.

On the GPS Map 1222, to change the forward range, press round knob until "Fwd. Rng." is shown on center bottom of screen, then simply turn same knob to adjust the range. No need to select or save new setting. Hit knob again and toggle between "Depth Rng." and "Gain" also. Just turn knob whenever you're on the function you want to adjust. No need to save new setting.
One extra little tip, leave it on "Fwd. Rng" as this is what you'll adjust the most. I like to jump between 30 feet out to search and quickly dial down to 20 to fish. Lately, I leave it on 30 feet all the time.
Adjusting "Fwd. Rng." and "Depth Rng." at the knob moves your adjustments in 10 feet increments. Sometimes one is not enough and the other is too much. If you want more precise adjusting down to the actual feet desired then this is how you'll want to do it.
Press "Menu" button
Turn dial knob to desired setting to adjust ex. Depth or Forward range and hit "Select"
Now turn dial to increase or decrease increments by 1 foot at a time. When desired setting is set simply hit "Select" button to continue fishing.
*Note* Older software versions may not have had all of these on screen options. My version and all the new units do for sure. Hope this is not too confusing. In 8 to 10 feet of water I usually always run 12 feet on depth and 30 feet on forward range. Hope this is helpful!
