We do sell the 16v Lithium Batteries but there are no image or return gains

Garmin and Humminbird engineers both confirmed to me that the chart plotters and transducers are internally regulated and there are no gains by using higher voltage.

Garmin did state that they are having a lot of units returned by guys running drill batteries and recommended consumers stay away from that power supply

Yep,agree 100%,but some will argue all day long about return gains.Did see a video online somewhere were they had a garmin livescope on 12volts then changed it to the 16volt.All i saw was it was a hair bit brighter, nothing special. Can achieve the same with a couple bumps on the gain.

Agreed, and most of the images Ive seen you can't see any of the settings, Again, we sell them but the testing I've done with confirmation from both Humminbird and Garmin confirm there are no image gains.

This is a good thread to read if anyone is interested 16v battery
