Where are you mounting your Livescope black box on an RT178c? Also, are you using a disconnect of some kind so you can remove the transducer from your boat (like if left out overnight)?

I have the 188c but I think our layouts are the same.
I mounted mine in the front tackle storage box along with battery.
It only come with a 6 foot cord from box to graph and I didn’t want to pay more for an extension. Plus very short power run to box and graph with battery there.

Just to update. I’ve since cleaned up my wiring a little and mounted my switches. I think I am done with this part. Fished 8hrs on Saturday and battery was still at 13.7v.
I have a diy pole mount for ducer, will probably change or modify that next.

Nicely done! I may add that battery at some point. I mounted the SEELITE mount on my boat this weekend and can't wait to take it out!

Amped outdoors. 14.8v 19ah
I wanted the 32ah but was back ordered.
I’ve only had it out twice. Both times start with full charge of 16.2v, fish 6hrs and battery still at 15.2 and 15.3 volts when done. Very happy with performance, size, and weight.
I still have a little work to do as far as clean up and mounting my switches in the box.

Garmin manual says to use 10 guage wire and 7.5 amp fuse, and that is what I used with no issues. My setup is like above, except I am running a 60ah Amped Outdoors lithium battery.
As far as switches go, any 12 volt switch will work. I used Dorman Conduct-Tite red led lever toggle switches from advanced auto for power circuits and the blue led switches for lights.
I use ancor marine tinned copper wire for ALL wiring, and ancor marine waterproof connectors. Never had an issue.
ps: I have tried the rocker switches from blue water led (now owned by th marine), but they are cheaply made and I didn't like them.
