Default LVS32 vs. LVS34 on the water comparison

One of the best comparisons I’ve seen yet on livescope.

Here's the thing though. People fail to take into account the unit that these tests are done on. This test was on an 8612, which has a new processor and 1920 x 1080 display resolution. My 1042xsv's only have 1024 x 600 resolution and an older processor. Hence, why I am of the opinion that the LVS32 works better with lower resolution and older model processors. The LVS34 might be better, but you have to spend $3600 for one of the newer units, in addition to the cost of the new transducer, to see the full potential of the LVS34.

The older processors don't have the processing power that is needed for the LVS34, nor the upgrades that have been coming out. This is probably why alot of people were unhappy with the results of the upgrades.

No different than trying to run some of the new games on an older graphics card.

Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

I never even thought about it like that but you’re absolutely right. Computers, phones, tablets, etc… same situation. Very good point deep-v.

I don't know about being right, but makes sense in my mind. Like you said, the same can be said across alot of technologies.
