Default Garmin431 GPS stops working when close to my HBird Unit

I really like and rely on my garmin 431, but when I am up in the front of the boat my garmin looses Sat signal. this only happens when my HBird 788 is on. I only use my HBird unit for DI (IT Does have gps as well) but the screen is small and I like the 431. when both units are on, my garmin freezes up, i turn off the HBird and it starts working. both are on separate battery sources. Any ideas, (other than new unit purchase)....

It sounds like a low battery issue ...

Can you have the battery load tested ...??

Most auto parts stores will load test for free ...

I ran a check on the battery, bad cell...Clocked in around 10v. I replaced them today, they had about 6 years on it anyway. will give it another try, this weekend. I just thought the two units were interfering with each other. but that does not seem likely.
thanks for the advise, i did not even think about the batteries.
