Thanks. I started fabrication of an elevated stand for the console. That way I can still utilize the cup holder!

That wound up being taller than I imagined.
Thoughts? Pros cons? I just painted it black.

be very careful, looks like obstructed vision to me an accident waiting to happen, just like that article about the fishermen that got run over by a larger boat. The driver of said boat said he was distracted. Other than that it looks good

If you're that good at fabrication, shortening the height some should not be a problem for you ...

With any luck I'll get the wiring cleaned up tomorrow, although that's something I've never been good at. Get as much as possible in wire loom.
As for the visibility issue, that's something I wondered the first time I sat at the console. One of those unforseen things. I'm going to try it like it is, if I feel it's an issue, then I won't go fast the first time.
The good news is, the boat has a max speed of 21mph. I will be taking it easy anyway, I moved batteries around, and swapped out fuel tanks (went with a smaller one). I have a feeling it's going to feel like a completely different boat.
I definitely have a learning curve ahead of me!
Oh, those graphs do NOT like to pick up GPS signal inside that metal building.
A big thanks to all for the replies!

I ripped a cutting board in half, laminated it together, mounted to the boat. Anticipating moving the transducer around. As long as that thing is, I have a bad feeling it's gonna pick up the engine. Well see.

Got it looking like a boat again! Might take it out when I get off work tomorrow morning, for the maiden voyage. Supposed to be decent weather, before next front comes through. I'm just a wee bit nervous, and excited!
