    Default Helix 7 transducer ?

Just installed the Helix 7 Chirp Sonar/GPS G2N on my bow. Ihooked it up to the US2 transducer on my Terrova. Which transducer do I selectin the menu on the Helix? I want to still have the unit chirp, which I was toldby Brian at BBG that it would even thru that transducer. If all of that iscorrect, is there anything else I need to do?

My experience with the US2 Sonar was it would only read traditional Sonar. No chirp, no downview, no split frequency. It is only a 4 pin cable. I connected a better transducer when I was running a Garmin on it at first. Finally bit the bullet and replaced it with the transducer that comes with my Helix 10 Mega Chirp gps g2n now mounted on the deck. Since I have an Ulterra I got an aftermarket cable guard and mounted the transducer. Now I have everything but the kitchen sink. I took the cover off the Ulterra and unplugged the transducer wire for the US2 and threw it away. If you need parts call David Goodson at shut-up-and-fish.com. He knows everything and will help you out. Hope that works.

CHIRP is a function of the sounder (transmitter) in the head unit ...

A CHIRP signal can be transmitted thru any xducer (altho performance may or may not be satisfactory) ...

Transmitting a CHIRP signal thru a "non-Chirp" xducer is referred to as CHIRP "Lite" or "Cheap CHIRP" ...

The product manual on the HB website does not list the available selections in the Connected Transducer menu ...

Can you list the choices here please so I can verify the correct choice for using the US2 ...??

The default choice will be the selection for using the US2 ...

The selections "available" will help me with future questions from users (I don't have access to this specific model to verify the selections myself) ...

Rickie sorry for the delay in getting back to you. my only 2 options for transducer selection are 50/200 and 83/200. I assume the 83/200 is what I want?
