Default Ilink and linking 2 humminbird units

I am still working on the new boat. 899 SI in back with a helix 7 G2N in front. I got a 20 foot ethernet cable and 2 adapter dongles. So I have my 2 units able to talk to each other. But, my Terrova also has built in Ilink. So my question is, do I need an ethernet splitter to use the Ilink also or can I not use the Ilink and have the two networked at the same time? Is that where I will need the $200 ethernet switch?
Thanks for any help. This is a whole new ball of wax to me!

Yup ... You gonna need the AS ETH 5PXG ...
    http://www.humminbird.com/Products/AS-ETH-5PXG/

Then both units and the iLink will connect to the AS ETH 5PXG ...

Your iLink should have come with an Ethernet cable...

And you will need an Ethernet cable from each unit to the AS ETH 5PXG ...

The AS ETH 5PXG requires 12v power so plan it's installation ...

I was afraid you were gonna say that. This boat is starting to be a money pit! Lol. Can I power it off of the same power I run up to the helix 7 or should I run its own power cable up from the battery?

The AS ETH 5PXG really needs to be on a switch ...

And the AS ETH 5PXG is not very susceptible to RFI so it can be tied into any 12v power on your boat...

Ok. I have an extra switch on the panel I'm installing so I'll wire it into there, and run a new wire up to the front and mount it up there. Thank you for your help as always.
