Not sure I understand your question or concern? Are you wanting another trolling motor that doesn't cost much? If so, what are your requirements other than cost? Thrust, voltage, shaft length, etc.
Minnkota has an app on their webpage to help you select a trolling motor based on your needs. Click on the tab on the right side of the page. "What trolling motor do I need?"

Honestly, the Edge trolling motor is a good unit, strong and durable. The cable can be tight and a pain in the butt when the motor is stowed. Those problems go away when you deploy the motor. Lots of fisherman prefer cable driven motors, so you shouldn't have too much trouble selling it.
