    Default 2 questions or problems

I am running a helix 7 on tm and a new helix gen 2 on console. Noticed over the weekend when I am on tm I get interference on the helix 9 even tho they are not connected in anyway..i know I've been getting it on the 7 and trying to fix that but why would the 9 on the console be affected? Second question is how many amps or volts do these units pull as last couple times out if I'm sitting anywhere with them or at least one of them on for 20 -30 min low voltage alarm goes off. Battery is always charged as I have it on a onboard charger. Have checked voltage on battery and checked voltage regulator it's working fine. Battery is a interstate deep cycle that's only a year old...thanks

How do you have them wired?

X2 on question. Also you can adjust that low voltage alarm down. What voltage is it going off a at? Have you double checked all wiring? Also if wired into fuse panel or anywhere besides straight to cranking battery, redo wiring where both units are straight to battery.

Both units are coming off panel separate circuits low voltage alarm is set at 9.5 volts.

Like I said before and scrat reiterated, you need to wire straight to battery. If it is set that low and still going off you have a serious drop from panel to finders. Plus more than likely that's where your interference is coming from. When wiring I like to use 12 gauge and make a twisted pair to help with the interference. Run separate wires for each unit. Use those rubber spade fuse holders with the seal cap at the battery.

I have found that the panel wiring is sometimes wired way too small for some sonars. By pass with a larger wire(best 12-10 ga. but no less than a 14 ga.if close to battery) straight to battery and see if problem goes away then if it does you may want to just rewire them permanently straight to battery and don't forget to fuse them at battery.

Shortdraw, you have received some great advice from The guys above.
Do you have room for one more dedicated battery, for electronics only?
That's what I have done, put a blue sea buss with negative ground and fuses, then your all set.
We got some shielded, twisted pair that works great.

No I don't have room for another battery or else I would but will wire both units to battery this week. Then see what it does. Thanks for all your advice it's truly appreciated. Redge next weekend you can show me what else I can do if this doesn't solve problem...
