Thread: New GPS upgrade

Looking to up grade gps that is 15 years old, but do the newer models show where the public boat launches are in the area you happen to be in? Mine just shows the lakes.

If you get a Lowrance with Insight already loaded on the unit, yes it shows public ramps, depths, contours, creeks and their names, etc. My units are 3-4 yrs old but lake info doesn't change that much. Can't speak for newer units or map cards. The base maps on HB's show water/blue, and that's it. Should probably go to a big box store and punch some buttons on new units to see what is offered. The mfr's are wanting you to buy those mapping cards so they put very basic info on the gps models.
