Default Matching chart speed to boat speed

Have a Helix 7 SI. Always see people talking about matching chart speed to boat speed.
How exactly do you do this ?

Where it says chart speed in you settings. Set it to whatever speed you are running. This chart speed diagram is set at 5 so go about or around 5 mph. I get my best images at 3 chart speed and running 3 to 4 mph on my HB 899 and the Helix is much like it.

This only pertains to scanning and trying to represent bottom detail as true to form as possible. If you are trying to find the edge of brush or jigging over fish crank the chart speed up so you get a quicker refresh rate and more timely data.
