    So.... based off the image above that has been corrected, I already have 2 batteries added up to equal 24volts. So if I wanted more amp hours I can just connect a new battery to one of the already existing batteries on one side n my boat that is wired in by connecting the positive post to a positive post and a negative post to a negative post? And then do the same with a 2nd battery on the other battery that is already wired in?

    Yes, that is correct. That is the way batteries are connected in RV's. They connect multiple 6v batteries together in a combination of series and parallel connections to get a battery bank that puts out 12v. There's multiple ways to do it. Here's a picture of another way that would work. In the picture below, they are using 6v batteries to end up with 12v. If you do the same with 12v batteries, you'll get 24v.
