    Default Lakemaster maps

Have any of you guys tried the lakemaster plus mapcard or the Smartstrike ? I have been reading the hummingbird web site and wondering if anyone has been using either of these. If so what's you opinion of them?

    Thanks
    Kevin

I used the smart strike card on Grenada last week, and this is a picture of one of the areas it told me to fish. We caught 14 keepers in this area that day. Had to do a lot of playing with the chart screens to get to see what I wanted to see, but once I got used to it, and figured out the colors they were looking for, it seemed to have put us on fish. In my mind, the jury is still out on whether I will use this often, but when going to a new lake, this definitely put me in the right area.

I have lakemaster and lakemaster plus cards for HB legacy units. Love them ; can say I use the plus feature much though. I don't think smartsrike runs on legacy products; Does it fellas?

    Correct Terry ...

Smartstrike only works on ONIX and HELIX (and HELIX must have new software) ...

I recently purchased 2 Helix 10 depth finders for my boat Helix 10 SS GPS for the console and Helix 10DI GPS for the bow. It looks like I will just go with a couple Lake master Plus cards. Seem like the new Helix models would have came with the software to run the Smartstrike cards!
    Thanks

The Helix 10's will run the smart strike cards, I use them in my Helix 10 SI units, I did have to do the software update, but it works in my units. The software update is free and can be downloaded to an SD card from the HB web site, then the update to the units is fairly simple, the HB web site gives step by step instructions on updating.
