Default how do i know what type fish i am seeing on my HB 899?

I know this question has been ask before. I see fish on my split fire & down imaging screen, but I have no idea what species it is. Is it the way they stack up or school? I think a lot of what I am seeing is crappie, but im not sure. Everyone seems to have this figured out but me.

I think it is a big guess as to what fish it is unless you have clear water and a good camera showing what's down their. I have also heard that big crappie and bass will be schooling together sometimes while eating shad. Now I don't know this for sure so it is a guess also.
Be safe and good luck fishing

I never know for sure until I catch one. But if I see fish in a spot where i have caught crappie in the past and there 10-15 of them randomly stacked vertically im pretty sure they are crappie. Its impossible to know what your seeing since fish of different species mix together. All I know for sure is if you see a single fish swimming around its probably not a crappie.
