Thread: Lowrance Elite7 TI

I just put one on my STRATOS this past Monday.
It is my first experience with si/di technology. So far I Have been pleased with it. Have not played with all the functions on it yet.
Can let You know more as I experiment with it.

I've also been looking at them, the guys at bass pro were complimentary of it, it's the cheapest option for si that has capability to make your own maps with insight genesis... The helix 7 does not have auto chart
The guys at bps were really trying to sell me the helix 9 and it was awesome, and for 200 more dollars you get a much bigger screen and the option of networking.
I will say I liked the touch screen of the ti way better than I thought and the screen looked big for 7 inches but the helix unit even in the 7 inch screen looked better to me, in the store at least.... I'd love to hear some real world reviews.

By "looked better" I mean the screen image, the resolution

Installed the 7 ti yesterday and played around. I love it and haven't had any problems except the touchscreen being "off" a bit. I've read you can calibrate it, just haven't found that option yet.

I only can compare it to an elite 7 hdi. Love the SI.

When u use it on the water can u give us a report about how fast the gps updates? Is it easy to navigate to a waypoint.... My elite 5 hdi doesn't update very fast and is difficult to navigate to a waypoint at slow speed

Not the same at all. Elite Ti has the same internal antenna as the Gen3. refresh rate of 10khz
