I have a Alumacraft Pro 175, 17.5 foot long with a 50 merc. I have a 55# Minnkota Edge, not enough trolling motor. If there is light wind or current it really struggles to pull the boat around. Really wish I had a 70 or bigger. I don't have storage for 3 trolling motor batteries

I might have to get a 70lb thrust then. Don't want batteries in the back tho. I run in shallow water.

I'm running the powerdrive v2 55# with co pilot on a 1756 xpress. If all your wanting to do is slow troll it's more than enough. I've never had a problem long lining with mine, even on windy days. As is said on here many times go as big as you can afford. Who wouldn't love the #112 pound thrust ul terra with the auto stow and deploy? But I can't afford it. If the powerdrive is in your price range get it, I'm pretty sure it will move you boat around it does mine.

I'm still deciding which one to get. I'm gonna order this week. The only thing about the 24 Volt is having to buy 2 batteries.

Have you ever used a Powerdrive foot pedal? That is one of the reasons I got rid of mine. If you get one, and decide to add an iPilot, you lose the foot pedal. On a Terrova, you get to use both the remote or the foot pedal. Something to think about.

I have to agree with Buzzsaw, The Terrova 80 W I-Pilot is the best way to go. FYI - Bass Pro has a 6 month pay plan, no interest.

The terrova foot pedal does look easier to use. Im still thinking. Thanks for the input.
