    Default New Sonar advice needed

I have a 2014 RT 188 I am starting to use for crappie fishing. It has the standard cheap finder on the bow. Want to get the best unit I can for the bow. Spider rigging now, will be hitting bushes eventually, so I am thinking side scan etc. Mostly shallow water in Virginia, NE North Carolina. Thoughts?

I put SI on the console with the transducer on the transom, and DI on the bow. If you mount the SI transducer on the TM, your picture will be a mess because of steering the TM. A solid transducer mount will help if you want to put SI in front.

I have tried them all and am very happy with my Raymarine choice.
