Default Loss of connection on humminbird

I have a hummingbird 998 on a ram mount. Noticed the last few outings it wouldn't turn on right away. After a quick blow on the connector it fires right up. Now nothing. Connector doesn't really look dirty or corroded but I'm assuming its still that connector that's dirty.Should I spray with some corrosionx or some dielectric grease? Anyone else have this problem

First try taking the power plug out of the collector. Check for any bent pins on unit or any plugs that might be pushed back in plug. If all is well there just plug it straight into unit and check. Have worked on a couple with that problem where they were not in collector properly and did not make a good connection. Also check connection at fuse for corrosion and good connection at battery. If it is hooked to a fuse panel run you a dedicated set of wires directly to cranking battery with fuse at battery.

I noticed on the power cable one of the pins isn't flush with the other. Pushed in a slight bit. I'm betting that is my problem. Can this be fixed or just buy a new power cable?

I would 1st try bending the pins sideways just a bit ...but be careful ... The pins break pretty easily ...

Changed out the power cord last night. Fixed the problem.
