Question Infinitely adjustable TM add on?

Is there anyone out there making an add on unit like Minn Kota had with the Maximizer? I don't know why they quit making those. I had one years ago that I let go with a boat and have been kicking myself since. They were excellent for installing on a standard 5 speed trolling motor.

Depending on motor you have, Jones trolling motor may be able to help you out. Saw a Maximizer somewhere on Craigs list for 100.00 once in a while they will show up on EBay. I'm like you, seems that would be a money maker but probably not for a major Corp. If a guy that knew what he was doing and could get his hands on one could probably duplicate it and sell a few.

I sent that guy a PM right after he posted it and haven't heard a word from him. He must not want to sell it very bad.

Have found some of those guys don't respond much to IM's on that board. Best to click on his info and send him a email.

Google comes through yet again. I've found the same type device is used for other applications and can be bought on ebay for $20.

I found a site dedicated to sailboats where an electrical engineer had figured it out and hooked one up to his trolling motor. It worked like a charm. Score.

I used a Minn Kota Maximizer for years on my foot controlled trolling motor before I spent the money for a variable speed. It worked great!. I bought it on ebay.
