I think you read it wrong. He said its different, not broken. I agree, it looked like a nice shot.

The 2D pinging is slowed down when 360 is deployed. Per HB this is done to avoid noise. Core units and now the Onix both do it.

Messed with surface clutter today and the results were the same. Sent an email to HB about it and they told me it should not be related but they would look into it. Fished deep today so everything was fine with the sonar. Getting really addicted to watching the DI.

Deill,I just watched your video of how the onix responds to the touches.thats a very good video and I agree with all your saying about the onix in that video.it does take a bit to get used to the touching of the screen, but now that ive got the hang of it I zip around pretty good with the accasional mistap.really the only issue that I have now is the slow boot up,but to remedy that,I just leave the unit on until I'm through for the day.when I move from one spot to another ill turn sonar pinging off and then place unit in standby.next year I'll get a second unit for the console.

Thanks man. I wish the video quality was better but I shot it in a rush to try to help DA Toad out on BBC. If the engineers can get the booting time comparable to the 1198 then that will be a done deal.

If others are interested, here is the video.

Kosmo does the Onix have the off-set feature for the 360 stern mount? I am getting one and thinking about the 360 too. I use the Terrova so the bow mount is out.

I want to thank you and Diel for helping me spend my money!! LOL

If they will get the waypoint sharing fixed HB may have a winner on their hands. A Onix 10 on the console and 1198/1199 on the bow would be a potent pair. Not many can afford two Onix 10 units.

When choosing between a bow mount or transom mount 360,theres more to consider than the price difference. Your fishing style/needs are something to consider.if your going to use the 360 for viewing out away from your boat only then the bow mount would be best.if you need to view close to the boat (vertical fishing) the transom mount is best.if you need to view out away from your boat and also need to be able to view close for(vertical fishing)then the transom mount would be best.look at these two pictures. One being 26 ft. The other being 6 ft. I have the offset set to 20 ft. , which is 1 ft. closer than were my trolling motor is.now look were the water column makes contact with the bottom of the lake[URL=http://s826.photobucket.com/user/kosmo012/media/Mobile%20Uploads/snp0417143457_zpszukgrimw.jpg.html][/URL

Look at the area circled in red.it reads range ring 25 ft.that shouldn't be there.i have range rings turned off.the ring that you see is my offset ring.this can be set to what ever I want

    Thanks Kosmo

On the 998 when they added the offset you had a line on the screen extending from the bow of the boat icon. I assumed that was the offset?
