You can get vertical lines from another unit being on. It typically gets worse as the water gets deeper.
I have a Lowance Elite 5 on the front of my boat hooked to my I pilot terrova 80 wired to the trolling motor built in transducer and every so often the screen on the FF will have vertical lines like its not reading or a skip if you will?? Other times its great. I've tried checking the connections that are visible and those seem good just thaought id ask here befo i go tearing into it!!! There should be a setting to turn just the sonar off allowing the unit to still be used for GPS chartplotting ...
The simple solution when crosstalk interference is experienced is (pros included)...turn the sonar off the unit not being viewed...
