    since lakemaster doesn't have a chip for my lakes/ area, how/where do the wp's, sl's and itracks get displayed on my 998? thanks

    They will display no matter where your at.
    I'll bet it showes your on a lake. More then likely it just won't show depth, contours and structure.

    Yes.
    Even if the map shows you on land, the waypoints, spot lock and iTracks will still be displayed.
