trying to buy 596c hd di from digitaloasis outfit good prices but weird ...
Thought I had a 596c hd di bought at a good price and recieved a hold on the order. Tried to call but no call backs and the next day receieved note the order was cancelled. Finally got a call back and some woman told me they had called and the person didn't know anything about the order. Of course she had gotten my 94 year old dad who had double hearing aids and still can't hear very well.
Too bad as the price was very good but really wierd dealing with them.
Odd since I bought a lowrance elite 5 dsi from them in 2011. Well things change.
Guess it was a good thing based on the conversation with them so am still looking for the best price.
Anybody have any suggestions: they had it for $365

So have I with no problems...bought an 5 dsi back in 2011 from them. But when a 94 year old man is telling you he can't hear what you are saying that's not the same as a security check. Anyway, they are "history".
Have a call into Brian to see if he can come close to digitaloasis price.
We will see.

I don't have to always have best price. I do like to have a competitive price from a trusted source.
I bought a unit from one of the big box stores a few years back. I had a problem with the unit and had to send it in for service. According to Lowrance (because of s/n) that thing had been sitting on the shelf for a long long time. Lowrance replaced the unit and the unit had so much new stuff it was hard to tell it was the same model.
When buying from BBG I feel very confident about my order.
