I saw a post on hot to fix the depth reading issue in shallow water on the new Di units but can't find it anywhere I am out onthe water now and in shallow I am bouncing in the 50 and 60. Can someone tell me the change I need to make

I cant find it either splinter.....

I think it was to set the unit on "Salt water Shallow" and maybe increase the noise filter to "Medium" or "High"...

And like wilbur said ...1 of the software updates was supposed to fix that....

First thing to try is to shut off any other sonar that may be running on the boat.

Second thing to try is to run the latest software in your unit. Not sure which unit you have so I don’t know which software version would be the latest for you.

If that does not help than set the Water Type menu to the “Salt (deep) menu setting (I know; this sounds opposite of what you would think that you should set it to). Also try adjusting the Surface Clutter menu to a higher setting (unit should show less surface clutter).

Software update took care of mine, I've had no trouble with the unit at all since then.
